I had a great conversation with Fr. George Bazylevsky, a Ukrainian priest who was born in the soviet era. I talked to him on background about the Orthodox Church in Ukraine, and came away with some very interesting things I’ll share soon in my ongoing response to the book Church, Tradition, and Scripture.
I also had a bit of correspondence with Russian history professor Dr. Mark Steinberg about Russian attitudes toward Scripture at the turn of the 20th century (pre-Soviet). He gave me some information and direction. Once I finish some reading research he pointed me at I’ll school you on Russia!
I’m also in the process of finishing my first draft of a book directed toward Protestant questions about Orthodoxy. It’s coming along great, but I don’t know for sure when it’ll finish away. In the meantime I’m also doing initial prep for some ideas for a series of children and young adult adventure books. When I have more, I’ll share, promise.
